7 weeks and counting...

So I'm writing in the blog, but not posting these right now since we don't want everyone knowing about the baby just yet!  Well...technically no one really knows about the blog yet either, so you can read back as far as you want (since I started the blog when we began THINKING about a baby).   We haven't told our parents yet, and if my mom somehow heard this news through the grapevine I'm pretty sure she'd die.

Anyway, the whole reason I wanted to start a blog was so that we could go back years down the road and look at exactly what was happening in our lives at this point!  It's a great scrapbook, if you will.  Since I am horrible at scrapbooking (still have all my wedding stuff sitting in a box in the hall closet), I am hoping I can keep up with the blog!

I am now 7 weeks and counting!  Yea!  Some things to note about how I feel at 7 weeks: horrible.  For the past week and a half-ish I have felt sick, sick, sick.  Whoever says morning sickness is just in the morning is full of crap.  Mine is all day.  I basically feel like I am hungover allllll the time.   Not a fun feeling, especially when you have no funny stories from the night before to make it more tolerable, and McDonalds breakfast doesn't really hit the spot.  I am ALWAYS feeling bad at nighttime.  Instead of morning sickness, Jason just calls it "the sickness"...as in "Ohh no the sickness is here."  He's super supportive :)  I have had some good days though where I can get some stuff done, which is nice.  The cyst is hurting me too.  I am really really hoping at our next appointment that the doctor will tell me that it has shrunk.  I don't think it has started shrinking yet since it still hurts, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I must say, I am pretty sure that I have the sweetest husband alive.  He brought me flowers, doesn't care when the house is messy because "the sickness" has been there all day, will get me anything I want for dinner, and is just all around sweet as can be with all of my pregnancy awesomeness.  I told him that I feel better when I snack throughout the day, so he went to the grocery store and got me every kind of food possible that he knows that I like.  Our pantry looks like we have a family of 7 living here.  He is so excited about becoming a daddy, and I love him to pieces!

Tummy bump wise, I don't think I've changed that much.  Everything fits the same way, but at the end of the day, I have a little pooch that sticks out right below my belly button.  I've also read that this might possibly be my cyst (since it's the size of a freaking tennis ball) sticking out as well.  Cute.  I forgot to take a picture at the 4 week mark (and 5, and 6).  Should have taken one with the pregnancy test, but what can you do.  I took one at 7 weeks, so here ya go:

Don't mind the mess in our bathroom, my cute little birthmark, or the fact that I may or may not be wearing a Mustang Softball tshirt and Phi Delt shorts that I stole from Rushbomb (who I'm sure did not shack in order the receive these shorts :)).

I am hoping that I start feeling better soon.  We have less than a month until we head home and get to tell our family and friends!  I am so excited for everyone to know...it's very hard for me to keep a secret like this.

OH!  Super fun news we found out a couple of days ago: my sister in law Jayme is pregnant too!!  We are both 7 weeks, and I could not be more excited.  She called and put Max on the phone to tell us, "Mommy's having a baby!"  We couldn't NOT tell her about our news when we got such a fun phone call.  Sooo Jayme and Mark (and Max and William) know about our news :)  I am so excited that we will have kids almost the exact same age!

On another note: Jason and I had our 3 year wedding anniversary on Tuesday!  The last 3 years have flown by, and we are happier than ever.  I got Jason our wedding invitation printed in stone.  Kinda random, but really cool all the same.  It's a piece of home decor that is a fun keepsake.  His gift to me is having one of my grandmother's handbags restored for me!  I was lucky enough to be the only girl granddaughter, so I got all of Mamaw's designer purses when she passed away.  I love her bags, but a couple of them are showing there vintage-ness.  So I am getting it restored!  Brand new handbag, ya!  Pretty excited, plus I think it's neat knowing that she carried them as well.  Here is the stone I got Jason:

Kind of blurry, but you get the idea.  Alright, that's us at the 7 week mark!
