Christmas Eve Jason's sister Jordyn flew into town and we went to Nordstrom to see her try on her wedding dress. It was beautiful (of course) then we had lunch with his parents at Nordstrom Cafe. We then went to my parents for dinner and presents then to COR for Christmas Eve service!
Christmas day we woke up at the O'Bryans, and Jordyn was surprised by her fiance' Jim who flew in to surprise her from Arizona. It was really cute, and a great surprise. We had brunch with everyone, then headed to Topeka for the Gray family Christmas. So nice to see the whole fam!
These are blurry, but you can see how surprised she was! :)
Tuesday morning (Dec 28) we woke up bright and early for our flight to New York City. We REALLY lucked out that we were able to make it out! We had been hearing reports of flights being cancelled left and right due to 20 inches of snow in the city. Luckily, we picked the right day to fly out on and got out with no problems! We had such a great trip. I had never been, so obviously I wanted to do a lot of sightseeing! We saw Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Plaza. St. Patricks' Cathedral, ate dinner/dessert at Serendipity, saw Ground Zero, and watched the funniest Broadway show ever called Avenue Q. For New Years Eve, we went to a friend of Jordyn's apartments then headed out to a few bars. All in all, we had a great trip...lots of laughs and memories that's for sure! :) We had a 7am flight on New Years Day, so we just stayed out until our flight...great idea let me tell ya! I was a zombie by the time we got home, but it was nice to have a day to recover before heading back to Texas. We are back now, Christmas decorations came down today, and now we only have a few weeks before we head BACK to Kansas for Jordyn's wedding and Mexico! So exciting! Here are some pics from our trip:
