He can pull up on anything (including the wall and doors) and he will walk all around the coffee table. He can stand on his own for a couple of seconds, then he goes straight down on the butt. Once he figures out his balance, he'll be walking before we know it. I'm good with the crawling as of now...he's busy enough as it is!
He is definitely all boy, and a tough little guy too. He falls all the time. Doesn't seem to bother him in the least most of the time. Here's a prime example. It's a long video, his fall is around the 2:10 mark.
We went to the doctor on Tuesday, and he did great. He was flirting will all of the nurses, giving them his crinkle nose grin. They all loved him (obviously). He did really well with this shots too! Usually it takes me awhile to get him calmed down, but this time he only cried for about 10 seconds! The nurse asked him if he wanted to go get a toy, and he stopped crying immediately. Bribery at it's finest. Works for me!
Grayson's 9 months stats:
Height: 29 3/4"--93%
Weight: 22.8 lbs--89%
Head circumference: 46.4--89%
Eating:
He takes an 8oz bottle when he wakes up this morning. He'll have breakfast a couple of hours later, usually having waffles (he LOVES his waffles) and some sort of fruit..usually blueberries or bananas. Sometimes we'll have some Cheerios too. He'll get a 6oz bottle with lunch, which is usually bread, fruit, and I try to get a veggie in there...but he is definitely not a fan. He spits them out almost immediately. He'll get another afternoon 6oz bottle, then dinner around 6pm. Dinner he has a jar of meat/veggie baby food (I don't like making meat in his baby food maker, grosses me out), and usually some more fruit. He then gets between 5-8oz before bed, depending on how much dinner he ate.
Sleeping:
Grayson wakes up anywhere from 6-7:30am. He takes his first nap around 9-9:30, usually sleeping about 20-30 minutes. He goes down for his afternoon nap around 2ish, and this nap can last anywhere from 1-3 hours. I say 3, but this has only happened twice. :) Usually it's about an hour and a half. He's not a big napper. Not the greatest for Mommy, but what can you do! He goes down for bed around 7pm.
Other fun facts:
He's starting to mimic us and play games (loves itsy bitsy spider). He loves making a "bababababa" sounds when you put your fingers up to his mouth. He'll do it first to try to get you to do it back to him. He's started biting...we're working on that one. He loves lift the flap books. He doesn't understand when a book doesn't have flaps, because he takes his little hands and tries to find the flaps on the page. He screams almost every time we put him down in his crib. Unless he is basically 100% asleep when you put him down, he freaks out. Not sure what his deal is, but the doctor said not to worry about it. Soo he just stands there and screams til he goes to sleep. This can last 2 min-30 min. I feel horrible, but it's worse if we go in there because then he just wants to play.
View from the monitor: fell asleep sitting up
Monitor view again: not happy with us, red means super loud
He's a very happy baby about 98% of the time. When he is hungry/tired he'll let you know it! He laughs A LOT, and it's my favorite sound in the whole wide world. He thinks I'm hilarious. He loves attention and does his crinkle nose grin to every stranger we see. They have to stay far away though, because he gets shy and puts his head in my shoulder if they get close.
Here's some pics from Grayson's 9th month!
