4 month old baby boy!

Grayson turned four months old on May 4.  I know I say it every month, but I can't believe how fast it's going!  It's crazy to me that he is growing up so fast!  He definitely is no longer our little tiny baby.  He's becoming more and more of a little boy each day.  Obviously he's still really little in the grand scheme of things, but we see little newborns around and he looks so big compared to them!  We went to the doctor on Monday, and he is doing just fabulously.  He is hitting all of his milestones, and they said he's probably the cutest baby they've ever seen...k I might have made up the last part, but I'm pretty sure they were thinking it :)

Grayson's 4 month stats:

Weight: 15lbs 6oz. (59th percentile)

Height: 27" (97th percentile...tall baby!)

I can't find my sheet for the head circumference, but it was like 57th percentile

Rolled over for the first time on April 30 (while on facetime with my parents!) from tummy to back

Sleeps about 8-9 hours a night (yea!) buuttttt still may or may not be in our room (oops) Swear we're going to work on that this weekend :)  At least he naps in his own room...bad mom move oh well :)

Becoming pretty clingy-I make him sit by himself and he's not a fan.  He likes being in his Moby or just hanging out while we hold him.  Not good!

Started a new thing a few weeks ago where he arches his back and tries to get out of his carseat when you're strapping him in.  Bit of a 'tude on this child already!!  This applies to everything.  If he doesn't want to nurse-arch the back, doesn't want to sit in his bouncy-arch the back...you get the idea.  Here's proof:

For the most part, he's an awesome baby and so so so much fun!  Some pics from this month:

Baby loves him some bathtime!

Amazed by his new bouncer

Feet don't quite hit the ground yet :)

"Play with me Grayson!!"

This is when he's smiling the biggest, just big old open mouth grin :)

How do you resist that little face?!

Easter 2012

This year, we spent Easter in San Antonio with Jason's sister's fam, his mom, and his little sister.  We were so happy to get to spend Easter with family this year!  It made it especially fun since it was Grayson and Ryane's first Easter.  Jason and I drove down on Friday afternoon.  We got to see Mark play on Saturday night, which was really fun!  This was my first hockey game too!  Grayson was mesmerized by all of the lights and activity going on around him.

The next day we got up and went to the early church service with all of the kids.  This was Grayson's first time at church, and he did very well.  Once again, he loved the music!  He took a bottle and fell asleep halfway through the service.

At their church, they have a giant carousel in the narthex!  It was really neat, and all the kids obviously loved it :)

We went back to Jayme's and had brunch, then headed back home!  It was a quick trip, but really fun!

Grayson and Ryane's first Easter!

I was slightly obsessed with this hat :)

3 months!

Little man turned 3 months on April 4!  He is getting to be so much fun.  He is so alert, doing lots of talking/cooing, and LOTS of smiles!  When he gets really excited, he does a big open mouth grin at you...it's pretty cute.  He can hold up his head really well, but gets wobbly if you hold him on your hip too long. :)  He is absolutely is obsessed with TV.  When he's crying, you can go stand next to the TV and he'll just stare in awe.  He's starting to like toys, and is interested in anything that flashes or makes noise.  When we were in KC, he was sitting in his little vibrating chair at my parents house, and reached out for the toys for the first time.  Genius baby if you ask me.

This little guy still loves music!  He doesn't like when it's quiet-he sleeps with a sound machine (big surprise with me and Jason for parents) and goes to sleep a lot of the time with music playing!  We still are not on any kind of a sleep schedule...we're going to start working on that this month.  He goes to sleep anytime from 8-11 or 11:30.  Depends on his mood!  Then he'll sleep til about 7-7:45.  Definitely sleeping through the night now, and not by a fluke occurrence!  He basically never wakes up in the middle of the night anymore, which is awesome!  When we were back in KC last week, he started waking up around 3am, but I think it was because he was in a new place.  I ended up just letting him squirm around and talk, and he'd go back to sleep after a bit without having to eat.

3 month stats:

Weight: Around 14 lbs. I think (doubled his birth weight!!)

Eats about 4-6 ounces per feeding (when bottle fed)

Sleeping through the night

Just got his first cold :(  Poor baby can't breathe

Doesn't really wear shoes, but when he does it's the smallest size...not sure what size that is :)

Size 1 diaper

Wearing 0-3 and 3-6 month clothing, depending on the brand

Here's our little guy at 3 months:

He's starting to get a lot of dark hair!  His hair is growing in crazy fast, and really thick (thank goodness, he's not getting my thin hair!).  He's definitely inherited my blue eyes though, which is pretty much my only claim on this baby...he's pretty much all Jason!

First Easter Bunny visit!

We decided this past weekend that Grayson needed to go visit the Easter Bunny.  I am huge on starting traditions with our kids, and seeing the Easter Bunny and Santa are going to be part of it!  Yes, he's way too small to remember going...but it's more for us than him anyways at this point :)  Grandma O was in town, so we thought it would be fun to go while she was here.  I wanted to go to Northpark mall in Dallas instead of the mall by us.  The one by us can be pretty sketch on the weekends, so off to Dallas it is!  I get Grayson all cute in an outfit, get to the mall....NO BUNNY!   Well, I take that back.  There were several bunnies.  Real live bunnies.  Excuse me?  Who wants a 2 month old in a picture with a real live bunny?  That's not the Easter Bunny, that's just from a pet store!  I was extremely disappointed and refused to spend $40 on a pic with a live bunny.  I can do that in our front yard.  So we went home.  Decided to try again Sunday.  I just figured we could try our mall, and the line was actually short and it worked out just fine!  The bunny had a dress on, but I can live with that :)  Grayson basically slept the whole time until the bunnies whiskers kept poking him in the face.  It was cute, and we got our pictures, so I'm happy!

This Easter, we are going down to San Antonio to spend it with cousins Max, Will, and Ryane!  Aunt Jordyn will be flying in from Colorado too, so it should be a fun time.  I've ordered Grayson's Easter basket, and am still working on an outfit.  I've found a billion girls outfits for Easter..the boys outfits look stupid.  I've found a hat so far....better keep looking!

Take one of trying to see the bunny

Take two: found the bunny!

West Plains

A couple of weekends ago, we headed to West Plains, Missouri for Grayson to meet Papaw and Marianna!  It worked out so that I drove there from KC with my mom and we spent the week there.  Jason came and met us on Thursday along with Brett, Courtney, and Patrick.  We had such a great week, and it was so fun for Grayson to spend time with his great grandparents!  We had a lot of relaxation time, and Grayson slept from 10 to about 7:30 the next morning while we were there.  That was a new record for him, I was pretty impressed.  Country air does wonders on a baby :)  While we were there, mom and I stayed at the cabin for a few days.  I got to ride Dude (Papaw's horse) for a little bit.  I love riding horses-would love to take him out of the little field next time I'm there and really ride!  I am hoping that we will make it back really soon.  It was really fun to spend some real time with Patrick too!  He is the funniest little kid.

March Madness was going on while there.  Most notable game: MU losing!  Not gonna lie, one of the highlights of the tournament.  Especially since they already made road to the final four tshirts.  Really funny.  On an even better note:  KU IS IN THE FINAL FOUR!!  We beat North Carolina on Sunday, and I could not be more excited.  Grayson and I are heading up to KC tomorrow for the finals!  Yes, I know they are in New Orleans.  BUT, second best place to watch the games is Lawrence KS!  No, Grayson is not invited to watch them with me in Lawrence.  He will be staying with the Grandma's while I enjoy a day off!  This will be my first night away however, so we will see how that goes :)

Here are some pics from our trip to West Plains:
